finally, i did my first presentation on the lecture of international politics. it was more like a debate. the topic was: should non-sovereign entities be accepted to participate in WHO's activities? my partner was a guy from school of government. we were given 3 weeks to prepare. but both of us never had chance to meet up for discussion. at first, he was almost "uncontactable". called his room, no one answered. emailed him, no reply. and he hasn't got a cellphone. and at last, when we fixed a time to meet, he didn't showed up because of overslept (it's 4pm and he's still sleeping!)

anyway, this morning, 2 hours before the presentation, we had brief discussion. during the presentation, he did most of the talking, i was supposed to attack my opponents. before this, i've never spoken in front of the class, not brave & confident enough to do so, cause all my classmates are "best & brightest", don't think i would be able to express myself as good as them. but surprisingly, this time, my brain & tongue are functioning! hehehe... with my malaysian accent, i could speak as i thought, accurately!

received compliments from my classmates after the presentation, said that i did better than that guy. hohoho... they assured that i performed well though i kept saying there are points that i left out. their encouragement meant so much to me.

rite, gtg for the psychology lecture. gee... it's busy tuesday again.

freezing cold.

my toes in socks are numb, fingers feeling cold doing the typing in cold air. all my windows are shut very tightly, door as well. i'm wearing 2 t shirt + 1 wool sweater, but still have no where to escape from the cold air. it's definitely too cold for mid october. tonight is gonna be 4 degree. and the heater is not on yet. they promised to turn it on today, but guess the water & steam will reach 5th floor soonest by tomorrow, or worse still days after tomorrow.

talked to penny for a while on msn, she said ambitious women might end up to be lonely. has anybody foresees anything? i don't know.

while walking back to shaoyuan after class, suddenly had the mood to prepare a table of good dishes. tried to call everyone on my list, but most of them had to go for evening classes :( but my tastebuds miss m'sian flavour tooo much tooo much... so i still wanted to cook. cycled to the nearest market, grab 3 trays of mini chicken drumstick + 7rmb of assorted vegie and rushed back to shaoyuan. with 7rmb (approx. RM3.20), i got 1 fat eggplant, 2 carrots, 2 tomatoes, 1 cauliflower, 1 onion, 2 capsicum & some garlics, damn cheap!

spent 1 hour doing kunyit fried chicken, vegie curry & fried tomato with egg (this one is chinese). the first two dishes was ok. glad that i brought kunyit & santan powder from home, i even added some kacang kuda & dhal malawi in the curry! yummie, it tasted truly malaysia! QL helped me with reading every instruction written on the recipe while cooking the eggie tomato, a very popular dish in beijing. it's my first attempt to do it on my own. 4 of us, QL, BH, JF & me shared that feast, completed with almond jelly made by BH.

checked the result of my recent exam on chinese literature. thank god, i got 85. and my poor cgpa finally reaches 3.05. hopefully i could maintain & get better grades this semester.

3th Sept, arrive in Peking U. Typhoon Dujuan made an eight hours delay of MH 370. Back again, into my bee-zee life.

They've elected me as the orang kerusi of UMSIB.
Enrolled myself in double-major of Journalism & International Relations.
Thought of getting a job, still searching for one.

Today is the big day of MSIB, the mid autumn dinner will be held here, very much looking forward to meet the crowd of 90. Can you imagine 90 of us walking around the unnamed lake with beautiful paper lanterns? Can't wait to experience that. Gonna be exciting.

Reading Harry Porter. Lunch's a can of instant congee and some junk chocolates. Listening to music Dreamer sent over earlier. It's HOT today. Mid Sept should somewhat be much cooling. What a Saturday. :)
